Our Story
Dr. Michael Stadnyk founded Luneta after realizing one simple truth: radiologists and healthcare institutions deserve better. After 25 years spanning private practice, hospitals, corporate medicine, and teleradiology, including leadership roles as Chief Medical Officer and President of nonprofit organizations, our founder realized there was a better way to deliver care and to work as a radiologist.
Luneta exists to balance two commitments: providing clients with the highest-quality radiology coverage when and where they need it, and giving radiologists a safe haven where they can focus on practicing medicine without being burdened by business inefficiencies.
With a physician-led model, a strong managed services backbone, and a culture of trust, Luneta aligns the interests of clients and radiologists. We minimize overhead, maximize value, and make sure both patients and providers are supported. At Luneta, we strive to meet client expectations without compromising quality.
Meet the
Founder
michael J. stadnyk, M.D. FACR
Dr. Stadnyk is a board-certified radiologist with over 25 years of clinical experience across academic medicine, hospital systems, and private practice. He earned his M.D. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and completed his residency in radiology at St. Louis University Hospital. His expertise spans MRI, CT, ultrasound, breast imaging, trauma imaging, and general diagnostic radiology. Dr. Stadnyk most recently served as the Chief Medical Officer for a teleradiology company.
A past president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society and the Greater St. Louis Society of Radiologists, Dr. Stadnyk has held multiple leadership roles in organized medicine and medical education.
Passionate about advancing patient care, Dr. Stadnyk combines deep clinical expertise with a commitment to innovation and physician leadership.
